Ok, I'm tired of waiting for my electronics to start working properly. First, our camcorder decided to only record fuzzy Mazie reading her speech. It was no good. I'm so sad. Second, my external hard drive (which stores ALL my photos) has decided to get a mind of its own and keep my photos. I can't get any of them off of the drive and so there will be no pictures of Mazie reading her speech (until we can figure out what's going on).
So Mazie and I talked about it. She wants me to post her speech so you can at least read what she wrote and read to the school board last Thursday. She did such a great job. She was the first to read her speech and everyone there clapped as soon as she was finished. She was very proud of herself. Jacob and Jamie clapped too (which made Mazie smile even more). I was choking back tears the entire time she was reading. Mazie was so big standing in front of a room full of people, reading her speech. So here is the speech that she and her principal worked on...
"I like the teachers at Odyssey. First I love my teacher, Miss Margheim. She helps me with my work and is really nice.
Next, there are the discovery teachers at our school. Mrs. Funk, the art teacher, give us awesome art projects. We are using lines and shapes to make pictures.
Mrs. Chapman is the music teacher. We sing and play instruments in music.
The technology teacher is Mr. Esposito. We are making book on the computer and learning about the constitution.
Miss Lyons is the PE teacher. She teaches us about the Olympics and the games that were played.
Mrs. Talbot is the librarian and she helps us find stories and picture books in the library.
As you can see, there are many great teachers at Odyssey! Thank you."
So feel free to give Mazie lots of great comments. She will be checking!
