The Tea Tent

So this is the fort I made yesterday for our afternoon tea to have something other than playing in the basement to do on our dreary day. It was quickly renamed to the Tea Tent.

It's amazing how a quilt and four chairs can become something so fun. We had tea and cakes in our tea tent...

And then something miraculous happened. The sun came out! We quickly put on our shoes and ran outside to enjoy the beaming, beautiful sun. It was so needed. We had to leave the fort, I mean tea tent, up so Dad could see it. And the boys enjoyed a cup of tea while having a lovely chat after Dad got home from work...

Mazie was so tickled with all of you who commented saying you would join us for tea. She actually asked if you were really coming. Maybe next time, sweetie!

so funny we just made a big fort too, with a flashlight for reading library books.
