Spring Break: Part 1

Spring break is over. All two weeks of it. So here is a recap on what we did most of the time. Jacob was enjoying all of his presents from his big birthday. He even insisted on me taking a picture of him in his new bathrobe...
We played outside a lot. Lots of hip swinging in these photos...
I saw a similar picture my very talented friend took of herself doing the same activity. So I thought I would try it with Mazie on the monkey bars.
We had this patch of snow in the yard because the sun just doesn't hit it. Until this particular week of Spring break, it wasn't warm enough to melt it either. So Jacob helped himself to a little bit of ice while playing...
The very next day after all the hula hooping, monkey barring, and ice eating, it snowed. A LOT. So we enjoyed some snow. You know it takes longer to get ready to go outside than to actually play outside with three kids. Especially when the youngest likes the idea of being outside more than actually playing outside. But he was cute getting ready and gave it a good go before really wanting to come back inside...
This is the look he gave me just before knocking over Jamie's start to a snowman. Seriously, he has some devil in him (his father's side, for sure!)...
The kids were great about trying to get a picture of all three of them laying in the snow but the sun light that was shining made the white snow way too bright for their eyes to be open...
There was some exercising. Typically the kids warmed up with me but got too tired to complete the actual workout. They would sit and watch me sweat instead.
Even though two weeks is a little long, it was nice to have all the kids home together. Laid back and easy going. It was nice. More on Spring break to come!

Love the exercising together--so cute! And I like your monkey bar Mazie shot, too! :-)

Glad to see everyone had a fun-filled, relaxing two weeks. Kids need time off just like we do. It looks like Jacob can be a little devilish, but, after all, he had some good teachers!
