The Last Day

Yesterday was Jacob's last class of the semester at The Little Gym. And since dad could join us, we got lots of pictures!

Beginning with bells...
Warm up consisted of doing a little wheel barrowing...
and some practice on forward rolls. Forward rolls are one of Jacob's favorite things to do. In fact, he always starts by singing the song, "Hands up high to the sky..."
Practicing his "tadas"...
He even showed off to the girls who were watching from the chairs!
While on the high beam without the road (the little piece they put on for a little extra width which Jacob calls a road because it has lines on it), he did a forward roll with a little help...
He played catch with dad at ball time...
The kids were presented with their end-of-the-semester medals. Jacob was so proud!
This was the best picture of most of the kids and the teacher. Really the kids wanted nothing to do with a group picture!
But Jacob did give Miss Alexis a big hug and yelled, "Thank you" at the end. This was a bittersweet class for me. It was not only Jacob's last one of the semester but his last parent participation class. That's right. He graduated to the Funny Bugs class. He is now going to be going (without me) to class with other 3 and 4 year olds (without me). They just keep growing faster! We are proud of you, my little man!
Side note...check out the business blog. I made a special cake for one of my masters at taekwondo!

So bittersweet, right. Growing up & being ready for a mama free class is something to be proud of & sad at the same time. He'll never be too old to need you right? I hope this is true :-)
