A Few Things

I am not sure how I even forgot to mention that I received my produce bags on Monday. I was so excited when I opened the mailbox and saw the package. I ordered 12 (4 packs of 3 bags) from daisydots on etsy. I used a few for some things I needed for supper the other night. They are very sturdy but light. They hold a ton. They are large enough to put stalks of celery or large leafy green lettuce or lots of apples or a few bunches of bananas. The checkout clerk couldn't believe I was using my own bags and was very impressed with the fact that she could very easily see the stickers on the food. I am very happy with them and plan to order another set or two so I have enough.

Yesterday we drove to Pike's Peak. We actually made it up and down before it started to storm! Seeing snow at the end of July was the real excitement of the day...

And at the top with Pop Pop...

When we got home, the only thing Jacob found interesting was Pop Pop's gift shop bag.

He would put the bag on his head and walk around. He actually didn't run into anything. He would just get tired and sit down and then rip the bag off his head.

This morning was a different story. This was the scene at 9am...

To say that the girls were sad is a bit of an understatement. We went to the gym (where they love to play) but that didn't seem to help. They are all mopey and sad and wondering when he's coming back to visit. Thanks for everything, Dad. We were all very grateful that you were here.

Nice banner photo! Glad you had fun on Pikes Peak. . . Rich is hiking it tomorrow!

Goodbyes are always sad, but then you get to look forward to the next time.

Now, I'm off to check out those produce bags!
