Happy 30th Birthday

Today Jeremiah celebrates 30 years! Today is his official birthday. The girls could hardly wait for him to get home from work so they could give him their gifts. I have to say, I couldn't believe they kept quiet about their gifts. So when he got home and dressed for supper, they made him sit on the couch to open their goodies...

They actually agreed to have Jamie go first. After checking out her handy art work on her card...

...he opened her gift. She painted her own mug which she chose to give him. She picked out the mug and the paint and went to town. She was so proud of it when she was finished...

Then it was Mazie's turn. Daddy was very impressed with her writing. She has been doing so well with her letters and drawings.

Mazie actually picked out the same mug to paint. She picked out different paint to use and painted it her own way. She, too, was very proud of her work...

I had taken the girls to ColorMeMine. It is a store where you pick the pottery, paint or decorate it anyway you like, they glaze and fire it, and it's ready to pick up. The girls had a blast and I had fun watching them create their own gifts. Nothing is better than getting hand made gifts from your kids! After opening those gifts, we took Jeremiah to Macaroni Grill (which, if you know him at all, you know that it is the most favorite place for him to eat!). Happy Birthday, Jeremiah. We love you!

The pride on their faces is so evident as they hand over their gifts. Beautiful girls, inside and out.

Happy Birthday (a little belated--sorry!) to Jeremiah! I didn't ever realize that he and Rich were back-to-back. And how cool that Mazie's birthday is just a few days later. . . maybe our first will follow suit and show up this weekend!

The girls really are looking big--I can't wait to see some pictures of the Killins visit!
