Tumbling Mazie

Mazie has been taking a tumbling class for one hour every Monday for 10 weeks. Today was her last class. She absolutely loved going to the class. Here are a few photos of her tumbling around on her last day.

This is Mazie and her teacher Miss Tamie.

The class started each Monday with a warm up. Today it was with The Itsy Bitsy Spider.

After warming up, the kids would take turns on the different stations doing different things. Things like being a monkey on the swinging bar, balancing on the balance beams, and straddle rolling on the mats. Mazie just loves rolling around, especially if it is something she has just learned.

Then the class usually gets to play around with a special treat at the end of each hour. One time it was playing with a parachute. Another time it was batting balloons around with small racquets. Today it was playing around with scooters. Jeremiah and I were jealous. We both remembered playing with scooters when we were in elementary school. We used to have such a blast on them. Mazie was having a great time as well.

Mazie got so much out of this class. She learned how to do her stunts safer. She met new friends. She also learned a new way to just have fun. I am not sure what we are going to do on Mondays now. We are open to suggestions.
