Also, Jeremiah attempted something this week that took a lot of courage and strength. He went on a hike to Mt. Whitney with some work friends. He left mid-afternoon on Wednesday and got back on Friday. The only reason he came back on Friday is because he didn't make it to the top. For those of you who don't know, Mt Whitney is the highest mountain peak in the continental US at a whopping elevation of 14,495 feet. The altitude won the battle and he decided not to chance getting sick. I am happy that he had the chance to go on this adventure and get a few good photos on the way. Thursday morning, Jeremiah's group started to hike to the trail camp at an elevation of just over 12,000 feet. Here are a few shots of scenery.
Here are some photos of the trail and ridgeline as they were hiking. Also a shot of their tents at the trail camp.
After a night under the stars at 12,000 feet, Jeremiah wakes up to this gorgeous sunrise and heads back down the trail.
Ok, now I am all caught up and I have to get to bed. Good night!
