Playing with Alla

We were very happy to have a little playdate with Alla this afternoon. JJ was busy with a very special errand and the girls were all too happy to entertain Alla for a little while. Alla, however, wasn't her normal happy self. She had a little tooth pain but the girls did their best to make her smile and have fun.

At one point, I was bouncing Jamie to a song and Alla signed "more" because she thought it was funny. Maybe to hear Jamie laughing to the point of telling me to "top it" or maybe it just looked funny. Sorry, no pictures of that!

Jamie and Mazie decided that maybe dancing would help. Mazie came home from school one day and announced she learned a new dance called the Robot! Her version simply puts the '80s dance to shame!! Jamie quickly adapted it for her own use. Here they are dancing the Robot. Alla joined in a little later with a head bob to one of her favorite songs (a CD that JJ made and handed out at Alla's 1st birthday party). I personally love the facial expressions of all the girls while they are dancing.

Here is a picture of Alla smiling. I know it isn't a great picture but it is one of a very few of her smiling while she was playing with the girls. She was having lots of fun trying to figure out what the girls were doing. Most of the time she was searching for one or the other because they went in for more toys.

Mazie, of course, tried to cheer her up by singing as well. Alla just sat there and stared at her. It was pretty funny because it was as if Alla was trying to figure out why Mazie was singing.

And this one of Jamie is funny. She was pooped out from all the entertaining. She just decided to crash on the couch. I feel the need to let you know that Alla was only here for a little more than an hour!

Alla was singing along with a song when I snapped this one. Jamie and Mazie were taking turns playing with a troll doll which seemed to keep Alla amused for a while. It was almost as if Alla was just waiting for a turn but never really cared that she didn't get one. Mazie and Jamie were so wrapped up in entertaining Alla that they forgot to share with her some of the time.

Needless to say, the girls really had a great time with Alla. The love playing with her and will miss her when she moves next week.

Also just a quick note, I want to say congratulations to Ron. Tomorrow he is graduating from college (UCLA) with his MBA. He has worked very hard for his degree and we are very proud of him. Congratulations!
