Potty Party

Tonight was Jamie's Potty Party. She was so excited to have a party. She talked about it all week, knew who she wanted to invite, and what she wanted to eat. Mazie made a really big deal about it also. She is very proud of her sister and remembered that we had a party for her when she learned to use the potty. This made Jamie smile every time Mazie would make a big deal about her potty happenings this week. I think it helped a great deal to know that her sister would be happy about her doing something like a big girl.

The Killins and the Laughreys joined us to celebrate Jamie's big milestone. We had lasagna and fresh strawberries with cake. Pooh and Piglet were on the invitee list but couldn't make it due to being busy at Disneyland and all...we got a balloon instead. It seemed to be a good replacement.

Jamie got a few gifts, as well. One of her gifts was two packs of pretty panties (thanks, Killins family). She couldn't wait to get them out of the packages.

Since we have pictures of Mazie wearing her new panties on her head, we thought we would try it with Jamie. She, however, didn't find it so amusing.

Of course, she was given her potty training certificate. She was very proud of it. She held it up and showed her "dentist" teeth. For those of you who don't know, this is how we get her to smile. We ask her to show us her dentist teeth because that is how she shows off her clean teeth from her first dental appointment. It makes for a very nice smile.

Jamie was very happy. She was also excited to be the center of attention for a few hours with everyone making such a big deal about her going to the potty. She has been doing a great job this week. We are very proud of her!
