Ten On Tuesday

1. What do you think of the new look on the blog? It needed a little sprucing up.

2. We had a nice long weekend. Friday the kids enjoyed popsicles on the playset...

3. We let them stay up to watch a movie with snacks. Yes, Jacob is holding the popcorn dish. And, no, he didn't share.

4. Skysox had games on Friday and Saturday and had a wonderful fireworks show after each game. We let the kids stay up to watch this year. That meant they were up until 10:30pm on Friday and 11pm on Saturday. This is what morning looked like...

Yep, snuggles on the couch. Can't beat that, right?

5. We were going to go to the fireworks at the Air Force Academy but decided it would be just too long for the kids (and us) since we let them stay up the other two nights. Glad we decided to not go because this is the hail storm we had on July 4!
We've never had hail that big or that many times in one night. It ended up going through here 4 different times. It was also enough to poke holes in the green tarp on the kids' playset. That was some strong hail!

6. We did get to play. It only hailed that one evening. During the days we spent a lot of time outside.

7. Here is what the kids very patiently waiting all day long to see. They were such troopers since they were up 2 1/2 hours past their normal bedtimes.

8. So here is the evolution of the banner picture. Dad had to come outside too to help get all three to at least smile for real instead of fake smiling.

9. Dad was so hilarious, sneezing into the bush!

10. And with the promise of one picture with silly faces, I was bound to get a nice one, right? Happy Tuesday!
