Wednesday Weigh In

Yesterday was a beautiful, hot day. We had a whoppin' 78 degrees here in Colorado Springs. After school, the girls went straight outside to play in the sun. Within 10 minutes of said playing, the girls were sitting on the step (in the shade), drinking some water, and waiting for some cool air. Pitiful!

Their cool air came by the way of the neighbor kids. As soon as they came out to play, it didn't feel so hot anymore. YAY for Sarah and Johnnie!

This beautiful weather didn't continue into today. Today is 40ish and we have about an inch of snow (and it's still snowing). It is also supposed to be this way again tomorrow. Like Jeremiah said, "if you don't like the weather in Colorado, wait 5 minutes".

Ok, it happens to be Wednesday. So here are my latest weight loss results. I am kind of hanging around the 15 lbs mark. I have lost weight in chunks the entire time so far. I lose 2-3 lbs and then sustain for a while. According to the guarantee of LA Weight Loss, I should be down 24 lbs at my week 12. I'm a little lost about this. I have never excersized like I am now, not ever. I am now running 14 minutes at a time with a minute of walking then continue the cycle again. I am lifting weights and going to the gym regularly (This is a very big deal).

I was also measured. I am down another 3 1/2 inches. My total is 14 inches. Not bad for 12 weeks. So here is my picture at the start of the plan...

and now at 12 weeks...

I hope for LOTS of comments. Yes, I am begging for comments. I am very pleased with the inches that I've lost but not so much about the pounds. I could use some uplifting words from you, my adoring fans. So let me have it!

Wow! That's alot of inches! And all that exercise is building muscle, which is heavier than fat. I'm SURE that if you had done a body % analysis before you started, you'd find that your body fat % is WAY down and muscle % is WAY up. You really do look great. And you're just a week away from being able to run for 30 minutes! That's quite an accomplishment!

I can see a huge difference! It's like your doing the preggo shots but the opposite way- each one gets smaller! Congrats!! Great job on the running- now you can start to train for a 5K and that will give you something to look foward to- i do my best running when i have something i have to train for!

You look absolutely wonderful! You are at the point where the weight/inches lost can actually be seen. That's progress! I agree you are now muscle building, but losing the inches is every bit as important as the weight loss numbers. You have now become my inspiration-now that tax season is over, I need to follow your plan!
Keep it up - the effort will be well worth the results!

You are so beautiful, Megan. I know you must be frustrated when you are working so hard, but it WILL happen if you keep it up. Whenever I've lost weight, I always plateau and want to give up, and then boom, it happens. You should be so proud of how you are taking care of your body with good food and exercise, no matter what the scale says.

Megan, you are doing awesome! I can totally see it in you... esp. your face and your waistline - looking slimmer. Pretty cool. I was sick a while... and am trying now to get back on the bandwagon to lose weight. It is a frustrating process for each of us... but man, your success is so encouraging! Keep it up!

Megan, that looks like a TON more than 15 pounds to me. Seriously. I'm going to definitely agree with Amy that your body composition has to be totally different now than it was when you started. Muscle weighs more than fat, right? You look AMAZING my friend.

Megan you should be really proud of yourself. It really doesn't matter what the scale say. What matters is how you look & how you feel. And with all those inches lost your clothes must be too big for you. Running for almost 30 minutes is great. Your updates are a great inspiration for me.

I feel that I must add something here... My wife is shrinking!! Our yard sale box has expanded full of clothes that she can no longer wear (multiple sizes ago...) I'm so proud of what she is doing, and I'm glad you all are seeing it and realizing it too! I see her every day and meet at the gym as often as possible, but I know it means so much more when it's so obvious to others on the photos she posts. Great job, sweetie!

Big Megan fan here.

You're doing FAN Tastic and I'm so proud of you. Really, way to stick to your plan and get yourself moving :) I'd much rather fit my jeans nicely than care what the scale says.

You look amazing. I can really see a difference in your face. Be proud of yourself for making a lifestyle change. There are so few that have the dedication to do such a difficult thing. You are being such a great role model to your girls, and you look fantastic too. Don't let plateaus get you down. You have come such a long way, just keep it up. You are inspiring so many.

You look amazing Megan! You should be proud! And remember you're gaining muscle with all that cardio and weight lifting so the actual weight loss might not be as dramatic as you'd like the scale to read!
