Happy Easter

Happy Easter, everyone. Today the kids woke up to a couple of inches of snow. This meant that Peter Cottontail broke into the house to hide eggs and leave some goodies in Easter baskets.

Then we went sled riding (without accidents, thankyouverymuch!) at the elementary school. After getting home and getting into our Easter best, we took some pictures. Here the girls were waiting patiently for their brother to make his entrance...

By the time we were finished taking pictures, the snow was almost gone. It was kind of fun that we were able to play in the snow for a little while.

I thought this would be a cute little flash back. Jacob was lucky enough to have two Easters in his first year. One when he was a week old and the other today. He won't have one in this next year because of it but it was kind of cool that he had two. Here's what a difference a year can be...

We hope you had a wonderful Easter day and enjoyed some yummy treats from Peter Cottontail.

I would also like to add that the Little Man of the house has decided he can walk. On Friday he took his first unassisted steps and last night I was able to catch some of those steps on video. He beat Mazie by two days. She walked three days before her first birthday and he walked five days before his.

As you can see, he is very tickled with himself. I knew that Jacob was not going to go as long as Jamie did and wait until he was 15 months old but I thought maybe he would at least turn one first. This makes me want to cancel the next whole week. Just take it right off the calendar and make it be April 1 tomorrow. Do you think that would work to slow time down just a little?

I love how Jacob looks like he's thoroughly enjoying eating candy looking all grown up in his suit.
