Friday, Hayden and Amy came to play. This is what Jacob did while we were waiting to for them to arrive...
He noticed his sisters checking out the window every time they heard a car pass. So he checked it out as well. For those of you who don't know, this window faces the neighbor's house. That's all you see. So I am not sure if he realized all he could see was the house and the bush and he woudn't see his little buddy coming into the house or if he just thought he was big stuff getting up on a toy to look out of the window. But they came and we had a fun day. Amy and I kept telling these two boys that they need to swap secrets. Jacob needs to convince Hayden that he really can walk all on his own and that it's fun and Hayden needs to get Jacob talking as clearly as he does!
This is funny because Mazie makes hoola-hooping look so easy. She was all about showing Amy her walking while hooping and all her tricks. The funny part is Amy tried it a little later with not much success. It was fun to watch her continue to try until she got it!
At one point three of the four kids were napping! Not luck, we're just awesome moms, right Amy?
This is what we had last night after bath...
It probably would have been a prettier rainbow had their not been that huge storm behind it. Ah, Colorado weather!
This morning we got up really early to go cheer on Jeremiah in his first 5K! Here are the kids waiting for the race to begin.
Jamie and Jacob were practicing their celebratory hugs...
Jeremiah wanted to finish under 27 minutes. His official time was 25 mins 47 secs! Now I think he's addicted.
So that's been our life for the past few days. Is anyone else getting excited about the nations birthday? We are planning for lots of grilling and fireworks!
