We had the perfect start to our crazy two weeks of travelling. We had an awesome flight and didn't get too lost driving to the Killins' residence. We get to the house and everyone is waiting in the driveway for us. And the girls picked up right where they left off almost 17 months ago...
All the laughing, giggling, playing so nicely together was so wonderful to hear and see (even some of the whining was pretty tolerable!). Jacob kind of found his own thing, sometimes joining the girls, sometimes just playing on his own.He thought Alla was pretty cute. He treated her just like he treats his sisters. I can even make a pretty good guess that he can't wait until Fisher can play too. Maybe next time!
All the kiddos ready to walk to the stream...
These three were so funny, throwing sticks and dandelions into the stream on one side and watching it come through the tunnels to the other side...
I have to say that Fisher is the most adorable 2 month old. (I can say this now because none of mine are this tiny anymore) So sweet with his dimples and gummy smiles. Oh, and his smell! Almost made me want another one (HA!).
Mazie and Jamie watched WordWorld with Alla. It was pretty fun watching them while they were so into the show...
After the show was over, Jeremiah played the girls as instruments. It's a little game he likes to play with the kids. Basically they pick any instrument and he acts as though they are the chosen instrument and tickles them. Just a fun tickling game. We found out quickly that Alla loves to watch the girls getting tickled but does not like being tickled herself! She made up an instrument. The Blilablilaphone! It plays by blowing into a hat and instead of music coming out other hats are made. The imagination on that one is a bit scary. Anyway, everytime she would put her hat over her face to play it, Jeremiah would tickle her. She would giggle for a second and then yell, "No! Not like that!". Finally it ended up that Jeremiah had to play her instrument so she could tickle him. Pretty funny stuff!
Jeremiah and I both were able to run while there. I tell you what, the altitude really makes a difference. When you are used to basically no air and then go somewhere where the air is there, wow you can run. I was able to run 3 miles in 30 minutes! We had such a great time in Minnesota, catching up with our wonderful friends. Thanks so much for a relaxing start to our vacation. Next up, Pennsylvania!
