Somehow the weekend got away from us and it's Sunday, suddenly. We've been pretty busy. Jeremiah has been busy painting Jacob's room. We were thinking we would get the border up too but we have to wait for 72 hours so the paint is nice and dry. So pictures to come when that is up. And with Jeremiah painting, that left me watching the kids, grocery shopping, and cleaning. Not complaining, there just aren't enough hours in the day.
Here is what Mazie's been working on. She has been "practicing" her writing. This means that she gets whatever piece of paper that isn't written on and writes everyone's name down. Everyone! There are more on the back. Pretty good writing for a five year old, if you ask me...
Speaking of writing, Jamie decided she could write. All of a sudden. I felt pretty honored that "MOM" was the first word she wrote on her own...
Friday was Crazy Hair Friday for school. The class with the most participants got a prize. Well, Mazie's class didn't win but she was all for crazy hair. This is what she asked for...
and Jamie can't be left out just because she doesn't go to Odyssey. She wanted her "ears". They eventually ended up being pony tails.
Aren't they cute?
And Jacob just loves listening to his big sister read to him. He is really getting better at not grabbing the pages.
Jacob tried bananas this week. He likes them. He likes them in his new banana sock, as we so call it now.
After a few minutes, however, the handle is what is appealing. Teething just stinks.
Jacob had his six month check up on Friday as well. He is now 26 1/2 inches long and weighs 16 lbs 12 oz. He gained almost 3 pounds since his 4 month check and 2 whole inches. Not sure what I am going to do with this boy.
So that was our weekend. How was yours?
