Today was a day of a few firsts. After a few rough nights of getting up more than twice a night to nurse, Jeremiah talked me into trying cereal with Jacob to see if it would help. I, honestly, didn't think he was ready for solid food but I was willing to give it a try. So we got out the high chair and put on a bib and he was ready to go...
Sure enough, Jeremiah was right. Jacob gobbled it up like he had been eating solid food forever. I couldn't believe it. We will see if it helps him sleep a little better. I will let you know.
Mazie has been working very hard at mastering the monkey bars. Any park we have been to over the past year, she has tackled them but only managing to get to the third bar before dropping down in defeat. Tonight, however, she surprised herself. She made it the whole way and was very pleased with herself.
The neighbor kids were even cheering her on. It was quite an accomplishment for her.
And, then there is Jamie. This really isn't a first but it is the first time posting pictures of Jamie cheering. Stahr Mam got the girls these little pom poms and Jamie became quite the cheerleader. Here she is shaking her booty. Mazie asked her if she wanted some fries with her shake. Jamie responded with, "I can't eat fries with this shake"!
I also posted a new banner. I really like this banner but would love it if I could get it to fit the width of the blog page. Any suggestions from any of you veterans out there? I can't figure it out.

The banner is just great the way it is!..absolutely cleaver!Yeah for Jacob...on the second pose he looks as though he is saying "See Mommy, I can do it!"....Congratulations Mazie for making it all the way!!!!You are GYMNASTIC!!!:-)! And Jamie, you just shake that booty and keep on cheering!...(Mommy was a cheerleader, too)...Great job, Megan and Miah!
Sorry about your banner issues. I got your email but I've been so horrible about responding since we're neck-deep in boxes still. And I actually don't know how to help since I'm pretty sure you're using the new blogger template and I still edit the html in mine. Sorry, girl. :( For what it's worth though I think it looks awesome!
You have a lot of big kids!!! Jacob eating solids, Mazie doing some gymnastics, and Jamie being a cheerleader. Its not a bad idea to get Mazie into gymnastics if it is out there. I started when I was 5 and had a great time for 8 years. Can't wait to see you guys next month.
I'm not logged in. This is Kathy Fields... I use Adobe to create my banners... and test the size until it works, then add my pics into it. Hope that helps! I love the feet picture.... SO cute. : )
way to go mazie monkey! i just read erin's comment and didn't know you were using the new blogger template - if so, can't help ya, but in general, did you change the numbers in your template for your specific height and width of the banner??
Jacob looks like he is waiting for a burger and fries! Won't be long, I'm sure. Mazie gives a whole new definition to determination - as with most things, it was only a matter of time. Love that cheerleader - I think Jamie would fit in very well with the rest of the Penn State cheerleaders!!!Great pix!
Jamie is too funny and so cute! Way to go Mazie and oh, let the fun begin, Jacob!
Thanks for helping me out and the nice comments. This is kind of a stupid thing to post but I didn't know there was a new blogger template. I am still using the edit html. Any ideas now?
