Family and Lake Tobias

So I've been lagging in the Pennsylvania pictures. So here you go with more pictures.

First we were able to see lots of our family! The kids finally met their cousin Chloe...
Although she wasn't exactly in the picture taking mood, I love this picture.
Mazie with Aiden (my great nephew)...Mazie was quite the helper! She was helping Pop Pop grill the burgers and hot dogs.
Gramma and the kids...Stahr Mam and Pappy John with the kids...
Cousins Toby, Amy, and Benjamin with the kids...
The kids with Benjamin...
One of our days of the vacation we went to Lake Tobias. I've never been there and after our little terror of trying to go to the Washington D.C. zoo and never making it passed Harrisburg, we decided on an outing that was much closer. The kids were thrilled to see so many animals.
Turkeys, chickens, and roosters were all over and the kids had fun calling them and them answering back. Jacob had fun feeding the goats too...
Llamas...
Mazie tried to not be completely terrified of touching the animals. So when she was touching one, I quickly shot the camera!
And all three kids thought the baby nursing was so sweet...
This ostrich was fascinating. I was pretty happy he decided to not peck at me while I was snapping away.
Happy Friday!

Why couldn't you make it to the National Zoo? Have you been before? THat don't have giraffes, so you're not really missing much, ha.

We we headed to the zoo but on the way there was a terrible accident. A gas truck tipped over and some was running into the river. So officials closed the highway and our highway was the only way really. That meant it was taking forever. We were literally sitting still at times and it tooks us 3 hours to get to Harrisburg when it should have only taken an hour. It should have taken only 3 hours to drive to the zoo. We decided to turn around and do it next time. Susie, there may not be giraffes (which is disappointing) but there are pandas which almost makes up for it.
